Call of Duty: Warzone... so long, Verdansk.

Call of Duty Warzone was shaken up with the end of Season 2. Players were told to just survive, coming back as “zombies” to track down other survivors. Unbeknownst to them, the timer shown was counting down to a nuke. The Cold War came to fruition and a nuke was dropped on the map, destroying it…or, better yet, changing it forever.

Now, Verdansk retrograded into an 80’s version, due to nuclear destruction, and it is not going back according to the developers. This new, old-school Verdansk makeover is permanent. Time travel has never been so fun.

Now, Call of Duty: Warzone players are experiencing the exciting Season 3 with the “new” Verdansk. This new twist on the Call of Duty: Warzone map has old familiarity with some new, unique twists. For example, players can now explore the Radar Array, Factory, and Old Mind. Even old staples, The Airport and Stadium are changed. This adds new flavor instead of just a simple reskin.

All things change, grow, degrade, or upgrade, and this Call of Duty: Warzone map is no different. Hopefully, Warzone players enjoy the new Verdansk, as it is not returning to the original form. A quote from Warzone associate creative director, Amos Hodge: “Players don’t know it, but current-day Verdansk, they’ll never play it in that state again. Current day Verdansk is gone and it’s not coming back.”
