But there comes a time where you want to upgrade your stream to provide a better experience for your viewers. If you want to take it to the next step while not spending too much, then hopefully we can help you out. Below I have brief overviews of some excellent gadgets that will help level up your stream and provide a better experience for your viewers while staying under the $100 price range. These certainly aren’t required to make you the next big streamer, but it can absolutely make a difference if utilized and taken advantage of properly.
Logitech C920/C922x Pro Webcam: $79.99/$99.99
It’s no question that Logitech is one of the favorites when it comes to webcams, and it’s fully justified. Logitech webcams are high quality for any level of streamer while maintaining a relatively affordable price. The C920 provides a clear picture at 720p/30 fps and can also display at 1080p/30 fps if you want to flex a little bit. However, for the C922x, much like the C920, there’s the option for 1080p/30 fps, but also has a 720p at 60 fps option which makes a noticeable difference in video quality. Depending on your financial situation, the C920 is a fantastic option, but if you can opt in for the extra $20, the C922x is going to be the best option for the 720p/60 fps display.
Light Ring: $17.49
To support the purchase of the webcam, it's pertinent to have good lighting to show off that beautiful face. Although you’ll be playing games, it's just as important for viewers to see you as well. These light rings provide fantastic lighting while being incredibly affordable. They have 3 different lighting options based on your preference of warm light, white, or a combination of the two. With the low price point of these lights and the amount of improvement they can make to your webcam quality, it is highly suggested to invest in these as soon as possible.

The Elgato Stream Deck is one of the best gadgets to add to your stream setup due to its incredible versatility in making content easier to provide for viewers and the streamer. With 6 fully customizable buttons and an infinite amount of hotkey possibilities, there’s so much value that can be provided with the simple press of a button. A funny moment occurred that needs a sound clip follow up? Do you also want to mark that time stamp to highlight the moment post-stream? In both instances, the Stream Deck has you covered. With a simple design and setup, this gadget is a great investment for anyone looking to improve their stream.
MXL 770 Condenser Microphone: $74.95
The MXL 770 is a phenomenal condenser microphone that should be seriously considered for any streamer looking to improve their sound quality for not a significant amount of money. Although there is a learning curve for this mic due to adjusting settings for the podcast/streaming quality we all want, it’s worth every penny if you’re willing to dedicate the time. A great feature is the 770’s high pass filter switch, which allows the user to remove unwanted low audio frequencies which helps clean up the audio quality. If you’re serious about improving your stream and audio quality, then I would highly suggest the MXL 770.
Alto Professional ZMX52 5 Channel Audio Mixer: $59.00
To pair up with the MXL 770, there’s a choice between utilizing online software or having a physical sound mixer to adjust the microphone output settings. The Alto Professional ZMX52 is deemed to be one of the best bang for your buck mixers due to its simplicity and reliability. There’s no fancy display or features, but everything you need out of a mixer to produce the best sound quality out of your microphone is all available and ready to make you stand out over the rest.
